Are there any gunsmiths in this place? Or people who can do magic-type shit to fix guns?
[She knows there's a bunch of you weirdoes with wizardy powers.]
Nothing urgent or anything; I just wanted to know for later. I've got a pair of customized Beretta 92FS's that I'd hate to lose.
[She did go get them tuned up at Praiyachat's after the shitstorm with Roberta died down, and outside of regular cleaning and maintenance she actually hasn't used her guns much in the past few months ever since she learned to work the Battle Dome. But given the types of confrontations she tends to get into, it's only a matter of time before something happens to her beloved cutlasses again.
...right, she's forgetting something, isn't she?]
Obviously there's no money here, so lemme know what you want me to do to pay up. No bedroom shit, though, so get those thoughts outta your head if they're in there.

Voice be afraid... be very afraid.
[This chick sounded awesome]
What sort of mods you got on em?
[Oh, well that was disappointing]
As for payment, I think a date would be good. No bedroom stuff, but its nice to go out with someone who has an appreciation for good hardware.
hahaha oh god
[A date? Yeeeaaah no.]
Fuck off. I'm not going on no date either.
[Revy, goddammit, you really can't afford to be choosy.]
He can be pretty persistent.
[He slaps his hands together]
You don't even have to dress up or anything, though if you feel like it I wouldn't object.
Revy won't be happy to find out she can't shut him up with bullets
[Ugh. Talking. That was what Rock was for, fuckitall.
Well, if this guy kept his word, then yeah, it'd be a small price to pay for keeping her cutlasses in top order. It's not like she hasn't done regular business with annoying people before. But first she'd better see whether it would be worth the hassle of dealing with someone so obviously obnoxious.]
You said this "isn't your thing." What kinda gun jobs have you done before?
Most people in the world aren't happy about it either
Well, I'm more of a user than a repair man usually. I've had to learn more so after me and my main gadget guy had to part ways, so I can do most things, just not at a crazy level. I typically do some modifications depending on what the mission is, changing the sights, switching the barrel to put in new ammunition, usual stuff. Occasionally just to have a little fun with it, like putting a little bang flag popping out of a CAR 15.
Usually I'm more of the shooting people in the face sort of guy.
I'd imagine not
[Whaddya know, Revy's a shooting-people-in-the-face kinda girl. Maybe they could get along after all. Or just annoy the piss out of each other.]
I don't need anything crazy. [Not at the moment, anyway. She doesn't want to push her luck yet on what this guy might demand from her as payment for "crazy" stuff.] Like I said, I've got two Beretta 92FS's. The barrel's just extended an extra inch. Also, it's Inox, so -- stainless steel. There's custom designs on the grips, but I don't fuckin' care about that as long as the guns'll do their job. The last major problem I had with it was the slide coming a little loose, but I got that fixed before I got dumped here.
Cable shot him in the face a lot and they would be friends
mwahaha excellent

I have some experience at general maintenance and repair. Although I suppose it depends on what you'd like done?
[Voice]
I don't need you to be doing extensive mods or anything, and I can do my own cleaning. If it helps, the last few problems I had with my cutlasses were the grips being misaligned [this is what happens when she uses them to for pistolwhipping] and the slide coming loose.
Re: [Voice]
You get in a lot of close combat with them?
[Voice]
All the fuckin' time.
[Good thing she's bulletproof or else she'd be dead
or deaf or arthriticfrom all the close-quarters shooting she does.][Video]
[Of course he's not interested in 'bedroom shit' either.]
And as for payment, not necessary.
Holy shit. You're Luke Skywalker.
[Is she hallucinating? She has to be hallucinating. Why else would Luke Skywalker be offering her gun help. She barely even registers the "no payment" part.]
Who are you?
[His tone, by the way, is so, so, so dry.]
You're...really Luke Skywalker? You're not just Mark Hamill pulling the wool over my eyes? I'll fucking kill you if you're blowing smoke up my ass.
[Whoops, sorry about skipping over more of his words. She's still a little shocked.]
[He sounds vaguely annoyed, but not upset.]
And you are?
...Revy.
[Okayokayokayokay, time to get down to business
to defeat the Hunsand chalk this up to Just Another Fuckin' Weird Thing About Luceti.]So, not that I'm not ungrateful for your help or anything, but...wouldn't my guns be a little too primitive for the stuff you're used to?

[Roanapur is home to all sorts of whackjobs, after all.]
[Voice]
Alchemy is very simple in its principles. It can manipulate matter into different forms. It can even be used to restore damage enacted upon a firearm.
[Voice]
[She doesn't really want her cutlasses to be scientific/magical guinea pigs if she can help it.]
[Voice]
[Gai is used to looking after his Luger P08 on his own-- there aren't exactly that many gunsmiths in Japan, much less ones familiar with such an antique weapon. He's had to learn a considerable amount about gun maintenance and repair over the years as a result.]
[Voice]
Nothing too big, when it comes down to it. The main thing is that the barrel's extended an extra inch. It's also an Inox model, so all the important stuff is stainless steel. I've got ivory grips on it with a skull and crossbones design, but as long as I can shoot what needs shootin' I'm not too worried about that part.
[Voice]
[Voice]
A Luger, huh? That's pretty old-school.
[Voice]
[But still an excellent weapon, if he did say so himself.]
